A Dunlop újdonsága a túra-enduró szegmensben a Trailmax TR91 modell közvetlen utódja. A kiemelkedő száraztapadásáról híres elődhöz mérten nagyságrendekkel javult a futásteljesítmény. A futófelületi mintázat átdolgozásának köszönhetően kisebb a súrlódás okozta túlzott hőképződés, ami jótékony hatással van a tartósságra, és az optimális kopáskép kialakulására.

A mintacsatornák keskenyebbek, és rövidebbek is lettek, a futófelületi anyagösszetétel pedig a Sport-túra szegmensből jól ismert Roadsmart II-es modelltől származik. A modern anyagösszetételnek köszönhetően, javult a nedvestapadás is, hiszen a szilikadús felület hatékonyabban szorítja a nedvességet a mintacsatornákba.

A JLB illesztésmentes övszerkezet igazán komfortos gördülést biztosít nagy teherbírás mellett.

Kár is lenne tagadni, a TrailSmartot egyszerűen nekem találták ki. Már a felrakás utáni első métereken bizalmat keltett bennem, így amint lekopott a formaleválasztó-réteg, bátran döntögetni kezdtem  a géppel. Nos, tagadhatatlan, hogy az igazán hideg reggeleken szüksége van pár méterre, hogy bemelegedjen, de ezután vízen sem lehet zavarba hozni, fékezés, intenzív gyorsítás és tempós kanyarodás közben sem veszít tapadást.
