Vérfrissítés érkezik a Bridgestone versenyabroncs palettájára, az utoljára 2012-ben frissített R10-et váltja az új R11. Habár utcai homologizációval rendelkezik, elég kevés köze van az utcai motorozáshoz, használatához ajánlott a gumimelegítő, utcán viszont nem mindig van lehetőségünk ezt a hőmérsékletet megtartani, lévén az ideális üzemi hőmérséklet 70-80 fok.

Ha a Bridgestone sportabroncs palettáját megvizsgáljuk, az R11 fölött csak a V02-es slick található, valamint a W01-es esőgumi, tehát nem véletlen az igen sportos jelleg, az abroncs érdekességét pedig fokozza a minta megléte és az utcai homologizáció ezáltal. A paletta "utcaibb" felében találjuk az RS10-et, melyen hasonló arányú mintázottságot találunk, viszont keverékben teljesen különbözik az R11-től, alkalmas pályanapokra, viszont közelebb áll az utcai használathoz. A létra "legalsó" fokán az S széria áll, viszont a "legalsó" jelzőt mindenképp macskakörmök között kell értelmezni, hiszen a 2017-ben debütáló S21-el szép dolgokat lehet már művelni úgy utcán, mint pályán is.

Így néz ki tehát a Bridgestone sportpalettája, de visszatérve az R11-hez, két keverékben elérhető: soft és medium. A terv egyértelmű, a léc magas: versenyezni a Pirelli SC1-ével és SC2-jével, a Dunlop D213 GP Pro-jával. A japán mérnökök tarsolyában bizonyára maradt "némi" MotoGp-s tapasztalat, melyet összegyúrva az Endurance VB-n összegyűjtött kilométerekkel, úgy gondoljuk, hogy egy igen potens abroncs megszületésére elégséges.

2018. elejétől elérhető a szokásos sportmotor méretekben, viszont érdekesség, hogy kisebb motorokra is kibővítették a méretpalettát, mely az R10-ről nem volt elmondható. Az R11 110/70R17-es elsővel is elérhető, valamint 140/70R17, 150/60R17 és 160/60R17-es hátsó gumi méretekkel is.
