A www.hegylakok.hu motoros magazin jóvoltából egy hosszútávú teszt vette kezdetét a Michelin PilotRoad3 és a Metzeler Roadtec Z8 részvételével, aminek történéseiről folyamatosan beszámolunk.

Örömmel üdvözöltük pár éve a túramotorokhoz tervezett többkomponensű gumikat, amivel végre áthidalták a gyártók a futásteljesítmény, és a jó tapadás közötti, szinte feloldhatatlan ellentétet.  A Pilot Road 2 tartósságára nem volt panaszunk, a legmagasabb hágókon ugyanúgy helytállt a franciák kétkomponensű abroncsa, mint a Hungaroringen a Kawa Esti Motorozás pályanapjain. A Michelin új kihívót kapott 2011-ben a Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact “személyében”, ami a legendás tartósságú Roadtec Z6-ot váltotta az elefántos márka kínálatában. A mai trendtől eltérően a Z8 nem több különböző gumikeveréket alkalmaz, hanem az eltérő szerkezetű, nulla fokos acélövek rugalmasságával “játszik”, ami a valóságban annyit jelent, hogy az acél váz az adott felület igénybevételének megfelelően engedi, illetve nem engedi deformálódni a gumit. A Z8 esetében a középső szálak merevebbek, vagyis ezen a felületen kevésbé deformálódik (ezzel együtt kevésbé tapad és kopik) a szilikátban gazdag gumi felület, a szélein a rugalmasabb szálaknak köszönhetően pedig nagyobb tapadást biztosít kanyarodáskor.

A Pilot Road 3 gumiabroncsának középső felületén tartósabb, a szélein pedig jobban tapadó anyagkeveréket találunk, de ez a fajta 2ct technika már ismert volt az elődmodellről is. Az újdonságot a a Michelin XST (X-SipeTechnology) névre hallgató technológia jelenti, mely biztosítja, hogy a gumi felületének különleges barázdái miatt nem csak az esős, vizes útszakaszokon, hanem a hirtelen felbukkanó kisebb tócsákon is nehezebben úszik fel az abroncs, így a motor az árnyékos erdei szakaszokon is jól irányítható marad, ahol a nap sugarai nem tudták még felszárítani az eső áztatta íveket. Az újítás első ránézésre is látható, hiszen a vízelvezető barázdák és furatok különleges megjelenést biztosítanak a Michelin új túragumijának.

Lássuk mit tud!

A Z8 Interact 190/50 ZR17-es abroncsát a nagy Z-re, míg a Michelin kétkomponensű Pilot Road 3 gumiját a ZZR1400-ra szereltük fel, ugyanebben a méretben.  Ami azonnal feltűnt, az a motorok nagyobb szabadmagassága, hiszen mindkét Kawa hátulját “megemelte” az új abroncs, pedig hasonló méretű (de eltérő márkájú) gumik voltak eddig is a két gépen, igaz, erősen használt állapotban.

7mm mintamélység? A terepgumik irigykedve lesik a Metzeler Z8 óriási barázdáit

A titok a tolómérő bevetése után derült ki: mindkét abroncsnál 7mm (!) mintamélységet mértünk, amiről elsőre az jutott eszünkbe, hogy ezután csak a rajzolaton múlik, hogy utcai, vagy off-road használatra használjuk -e az adott köpenyt, hiszen a hét milliméteres érték akár laza talajon is elegendő lenne… Az első méterek természetesen a legfelső, csúszós borítás eltüntetésével teltek, nem terheltük a gumikat, az első két fokozatban végeztünk pár irányváltást, hogy minél kisebb majrécsík maradjon az éles bevetés előtt.

Egyedi mintázatáról messziről felismerhető a Metzeler Z8-as gumija

A harmincfokos melegben sajnos a vizes aszfalt nyújtotta kihívásokat nem tudtuk kipróbálni (el sem hiszem, hogy esőért imádkoztunk motorozás közben :) ), de a száraz körülmények között is azonnal feltűnt, hogy érzetre semmivel nem rosszabb a gumik tapadása utcai használat közben, mint a lényegesen alacsonyabb futásteljesítményű, sportosabb abroncsoké.

Több mint négyszáz kiló teher és 160 Nm nyomaték fogja pusztítani a Michelin Pilot Road 3 mintázatát

A nagy tempójú, nyújtott kanyarokban terhelten is nyugodtan viselkedett mindkét motor, és a szűk fordulókban is kis erővel tudtuk egymásba fűzni a derékszögű íveket, vagyis az extrém szélesség nem gátolta a hirtelen irányváltásokat, ami különösen A ZZR1400 esetében volt feltűnő.

A rövid menetpróbán a gumik öncsillapítása és kanyarstabilitása között értékelhető különbséget nem fedeztünk fel, vagyis az abroncsok valódi terepén, forró autópályákon, és a hűvös hegyi szakaszok szűk kanyarjaiban fog eldőlni a legfőbb kérdés: vajon milyen futásteljesítményre képesek a “szupertartós” gumik?

Közel négyezer kilométert fogunk beletekerni a motorokba a következő két hétben, miközben a csupasz Kawasakin a sportos felhasználás, a ZZR-en pedig a 160 Nm nyomaték, és a közel öt mázsás terhelés fogja próbatétel elé állítani az örök életű abroncsokat.
